Local Company in Salt Lake City Provides the Court for the NCAA® Men’s and Women’s Final Fours®

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH—March 19, 2013—Connor Sport Court International will provide the NCAA® Final Four® floor for the eighth year in a row. The Salt Lake City based company, Connor Sport Court International, supplies floors for the NCAA® and stores some of their portable floors to be reused for March Madness® elimination rounds each year.

The NCAA® owns the official Connor Sport Court International floors for the first, second and third rounds to be reused each year. The floors are already painted, but each year the logos are added for the host colleges. The floors will then be removed and stored by Connor Sport Court International until next year. The floors used are 116 X 60 Connor Quick Lock Floors.

“We look forward to being a part of March Madness® every year and building the best courts for the NCAA® teams,” said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International. “We are proud to be the official floor of the NCAA® Men’s and Women’s Final Fours®, and we enjoy building the best courts for the best teams in college basketball every year.”

This year the Final Four® floor will be larger at 140 X 70 to accommodate additional graphics for the 75th anniversary.

Connor Sport Court International builds the portable floor for installation at both the Men’s and Women’s Final Four® venues each year. A few weeks prior to the Final Four® tournament, the floor is constructed, inspected and then disassembled at the Amasa plant. The Men’s floor will then be sent to one of the company’s finishing partners, Praters, in Chattanooga, TN before the floor is loaded up for the tour and delivered to its Final Four® destination. Praters is the official finishing partner of the Final Four®.
