Utica College Sports and Recreation Dome

The new Sports and Recreation Dome is one of the largest domes in North America. It features an eight lane 200-meter ProTraxx track, a turf field, two jumping pits, two pole vault areas, multiple throwing circles, four multipurpose Tru Sport courts, a weight room, track and field locker rooms, track and field offices, equipment check out and a concessions area.

Prior to the building of the Sport and Recreation Dome, Utica track and field never hosted a track meet. The Dome will allow them to host five meets this season on their new Traction surfaces.

Before Utica installed Traction surfaces, track athletes were training on track lanes rolled out in hallways and field athletes were practicing in the basketball gymnasium. The Sport and Recreation Dome provides Utica’s athletes with a dedicated training facility containing the best track surfaces for training and competition.
